All Inclusive Fees

Funtazia fees are all inclusive.

The 2024 Funtazia hourly rate for daycare is: €10,80 per hour. This is charged at €113,40 per day based on 10,5 hours per day. At Funtazia Daycare, everything your child needs during the day will be provided in the fees such as: Diapers, diaper cream, wipes, formula, healthy snacks, warm lunch, toothbrushes, bibs, sleeping bags, sun cream. Parents are asked to provide indoor shoes and a set of extra clothes for your child.

The 2024 Funtazia hourly rate for after school care (BSO) and holiday care is €9 per hour. After School Care is charged per afternoon (€31,50 for 3,5 hours or €58,50 for 6.5 hours on Wednesdays/Early Dismissals). Holiday Care is charged per day (€81,00 until 17:00). At the Funtazia BSO or Holiday Care, the following are included in the fees: All snacks and meals as well as costs for workshops, excursions and transport.

Through the Dutch Childcare Allowance (Kinderopvangtoeslag), a substantial portion of your child care costs (for children aged 0-12 years) can be reimbursed for almost all families where one or both parents are working or studying – irrespective of nationality or length of stay. The amount you will get back is dependent on your combined gross income and the number of hours you and your partner are working/studying. Through this link, the government provides further information on the criteria to claim the Dutch Childcare Allowance (Kinderopvangtoeslag). This allowance applies to day care, after school care and holiday care.

Wait List
Registration via the website is not a guarantee that a place is available. After registration you will receive an automated response to show we have received your application to Funtazia. However, enrolment is subject to availability. If we have no place available for the requested days, families will be placed on the wait list and will be contacted if a place opens up. 

Tour of Funtazia
Approximately 2-3 months before the desired start date, parents will receive an invitation for a guided tour at Funtazia, generally held in the morning for daycare and after 15:30 for after school care (BSO). 

The purpose of this tour is to: 

• to get a good impression of our programmes and our facilities 
• get to know our pedagogical staff 
• to explore possible placement options 
• to inform you about our pedagogical policy plan 

A tour is not required for children registering for holiday care. Any parents wanting to visit Funtazia to view the facilities before registering their child for holiday care may request an appointment via bso@funtazia.nl 

Final Placement
Placement of children is based on priority and availability. Brothers and sisters as well as children from families with children in Nord Anglia International School Rotterdam (NAISR) are given priority. Funtazia offers a place by sending an agreement. After digitally signing the agreement, the reservation will be converted into a final placement.

Trial Days at Day Care / Acclimatisation Process
Funtazia’s caregivers are aware of the separation anxiety that children and their parents can experience. We always schedule an initial trial day, allowing your child to acclimatise to the environment 1-2 weeks before the official start date. Trial days are planned by the team leader of the respective group after a signed agreement has been received.

During the acclimatisation period, pedagogical staff offer trust and support to the child, helping them to feel safe and secure within the group. A brief and clear farewell from the parent(s) provides the most clarity for the child, helping them to adjust more quickly. These acclimatisation moments are a comforting solution not only for the child but also for the parents, so that everyone feels comfortable and reassured.
